Blues bands blaster Sent into orbit
Our Favourite All Time Review!
This article, which was obviously written by a cub reporter using the 'cub reporters standard reference book of rock cliches!', appeared in the Middlesex Chronicle. Enjoy!
"Raunchy rockers Ruthless Blues shook the city with a red-hot Kingston pub bash last week. The brilliant band blasted the Grey Horse with its own potent potion of powerful lyrics and rousing riffs.
Fans grooved (!) as the crazy quintet belted out dirt track numbers like "Solid Gold Mustang". And rough diamond Stevie Smith added the fizz to an explosive cocktail of dusty blues.
The gravel-tone group rocked the audience into orbit with its manic melodies. Rocking riffs from ex-Yardbirds guitarist John Knightsbridge and mind-bending blasts from saxophone supremo John Earle ricocheted around the backroom joint.
Blatantly talented sax king John is feted as one of the top five musicians in Britain having played on over 200 discs. Sixties sensation Knightsbridge needs no introduction and singer Stevie is an ex-Bad Manners star.
A band in a million Ruthless Blues will be thrashing down at the Grey Horse on .. etc. etc. "
